Two months after I bought seeds and planted them in little yogurt cups I am ready to admit that I have a full blown obsession with my garden. But look! Look at how big the collard greens leaves are!

And the mint is going crazy!

And the carrots have finally popped through the soil! (Along with the radishes and beets.)

Here we see the nasturtiums givin’ it all they’ve got in their pot of poor, seldom watered soil. I swear to you the back of the seed packet told me to do it. So far it’s working. Say hi to the peas, hiding in the pot behind. I’ve got “Little Marvels” and “Alaska Pea.”

The squash and kale are also growing like crazy. The squash are putting out big, orange flowers and threaten to give me so many little squash babies that I won’t know what to do with them all.
Beets and radishes being beet and radish-like.

And, yay for tomatoes! They got a mean fungus on the leaves, which seemed likely to bring them down, but a couple of doses of milk later they’re greener than ever and quite smug.
Those are all the pictures I have for now. You can go back to work and breathe a sigh of relief now that you know that my garden is humming along so well. Let’s all do this together, shall we? One, two, three. *Sigh* Great, now we can start obsessing over my yellow, pathetic basil. Any suggestions?
They all look gorgeous, congrats! If your basil’s anything like our dill, sweet talking and gentle caresses will do wonders. I really should post photos of all our beauties too. Hooray for green thumbery :-)
You can eat the squash flowers. Just give ‘em a light flour coating and fry ‘em up. It’s true! Deeelicious.
