That was a great eulogy for our dear friend Scraggles. I miss him so much. It’s so quiet now and there is no one to talk to. You know everyday when I left for work I told him “No wild parties while I’m gone. I’ll see you on the flip side.” And every day when I got home from work we had a routine. First thing, the very first thing, was feed the starving kitty. By the time he was done eating, if I hadn’t finished getting settled, you know check the mail, turn on the computer, put stuff away, he would be following me around the house with this anxious look in his eyes. After his eating his food, he just had to be held and cuddled or he was not complete. He especially loved it when I would sit down in the lazy-boy and lean back so he could crawl up on my chest and do the baby flop. He would lay their purring while being rubbed, fall asleep for about 10 minutes, then get down and go to his current special sleeping place and take another good long nap. I am truly glad I had the privilege to have him as a roomie for the time that I did. Did I say I sure miss him?

Did you know I too love trailers!!! In fact I would love to make trailers, showing just enough to tease prospective movie goers, enticing them, pulling them in. How cool would that be! and I too love to watch trailers on hulu, in fact that is what I did last night since there was nothing good on TV.

But how did you get it so that your URL isn’t rocketshipunderpants.wordpress.com?

I use wordpress.org, and while I appreciate the flexibility, something are too hard for me to handle, like updating the software. I want to keep my URL but wish I didn’t have to do all the FTP stuff myself.

Oh, no worries. I figured that’s exactly what happened, I know how insanely busy going home can be. I’ll be in Portland around New Years, maybe we can hang out then?
Yes, wordpress.com. It’s not the best, in fact if I weren’t so busy (also lazy) I’d search around for a better hosting site that would make it easier to post media and stuff. But it’s not bad for a simple blog.

Tricina! Love this. Such lovely description. New Yorkers hate getting wet — they’re like cats. I’m so sorry I never got back to you about getting together in NY. It ended up being a crazy whirlwind tour of trying to fit far too many people in and I finally gave up. Next time. I’d really love to see you!

PS – question – your site is your own url but it’s through wordpress.com instead of wordpress.org?

i have a 6metre high tulip tree on our front lawn,i was told it was a tulip tree but when i looked at pictures they had totally different laeves but then to my relief i found your story along with picture and its identical. no one will cut ours down as its ours thank god

Watch out for those Russian Blues! I hear they turn crazy and attack people for no reason. Last year, one trapped its elderly owners in the bathroom for an extended period of time.

Also, I’m really glad that you have found a wonderful place. Don’t worry too much about the impending attack of the Russian Blue.
